Versace

The Italian fashion empire Versace was established by the late Gianni Versace and has since been carried forward by his family. The brand launched with a women's collection in 1978 and found immediate success, expanding that same year to include menswear and opening its inaugural Milan boutique. Gianni selected the head of Medusa as the company's emblem. The house's opulent garments and accessories draw inspiration from an eclectic range of sources, from pop art aesthetics to the classical motifs of ancient Greek and Roman architecture.
