Eros Pour Femme by Versace is a Floral Woody Musk fragrance for women. Eros Pour Femme was launched in 2014. Eros Pour Femme was created by Alberto Morillas, Olivier Cresp and Nathalie Lorson. Top notes are Sicilian Lemon, Pomegranate and Calabrian bergamot; middle notes are Lemon Blossom, Jasmine Sambac, Jasmine and Peony; base notes are Musk, Ambroxan, Woodsy Notes and Sandalwood. Versace is launching the new fragrance for women as an addition to the popular men’s edition Eros from 2012. Versace Eros Pour Femme arrives on shelves of perfumeries in Italy in December 2014 as the fragrant seductress of the God of love—Eros. The women’s fragrance in a glamorous gold color flacon is signed by perfumers of the Firmenich company Alberto Morillas, Olivier Cresp and Nathalie Lorson who worked together on creating the new composition. "Eros is God of love and the goal of Eros Pour Femme campaign was to present that Eros was seduced and to suggest the strength of a woman," stated Donatella Versace, who added that photos for the campaign were taken in Pinewood studio in London in water reservoirs where the James Bond movies were filmed. The campaign is signed by photographers Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott. The faces of the campaign are Brian Shimansky, known as advertising face of Eros and Lara Stone, advertising face of Eros Pour Femme who comes out of the water in a white dress and golden gladiator sandals! The composition of the new perfume for women Eros Pour Femme opens with Sicilian lemon, Calabrian bergamot and pomegranate accords, with a heart of lemon, sambac jasmine absolute, jasmine infusion and peony. The base incorporates sandalwood, ambrox, musk and various woody notes. The fragrance bottle Eros Pour Femme is rounded and embellished with a prominent relief Medusa symbol on the central part of bottle and the stopper, as well as with a typical Greek motif on the edges. It is made of glass and embellished with metallic golden details and cap. Instead of a box, the bottle will be packed in a small case which opens on the sides. The fragrance will be available as 30ml, 50ml and 100 ml EDP. The fragrance will first be launched in Italy in December 2014, and in 2015 in Europe and worldwide.

Reliable citrus-floral workhorse with impressive longevity but generic character that divides those wanting safe vs. distinctive
Versace launched Eros Pour Femme in 2014 as the feminine counterpart to the wildly successful men's Eros, and with nearly 5,000 ratings averaging 3.82 out of 5, it has built a steady but unspectacular reputation. The community considers it a "cult favorite" for its reliable performance, but also recognizes it as one of those safe designer florals that does not push a single boundary. It is pleasant, it is competent, and it splits opinions on whether that is enough.
The opening is immediately bright and inviting -- Sicilian lemon and Calabrian bergamot combine with pomegranate to create a luminous, fruity-citrus splash that grabs attention on the first spray. As the citrus settles, the heart blooms with jasmine sambac and peony, bringing a lush white floral sweetness, while lemon blossom maintains a fresh, slightly green connection to the opening. The overall effect in the mid-stage is creamy, floral, and feminine without ever tipping into heavy or cloying territory. The dry-down shifts to sandalwood and woody notes with ambroxan providing that familiar clean-skin warmth and musk adding soft depth. Some wearers find the woody dry-down leans slightly masculine, while others see it as a grounding contrast to the florals. Community descriptions range from "fresh, fruity, creamy, and generally nice" to "something like I would find in a supermarket," depending on the reviewer's expectations.
Spring and summer are the prime seasons, though the EDP concentration gives it enough body to work into early fall evenings. It shines as a daytime fragrance -- office, brunch, shopping, outdoor events -- and transitions well enough into evening wear for dinners and dates. The community notes it "works great in the heat" and "remains friendly-fresh even on warm skin." It is versatile almost to a fault: appropriate everywhere, memorable nowhere. Skip it in winter, where the citrus-floral character will not have the warmth it needs to develop properly.
This is where Eros Pour Femme genuinely impresses, particularly in the EDP concentration. Most community reports cite 8 to 10 hours of wear, with several reviewers calling it "the only perfume I own which lasts all day." Projection is confident for the first 3 to 4 hours, creating a noticeable aura before settling closer to the skin. The sillage leaves what reviewers describe as "a beautiful, noticeable trail that announces your presence elegantly." However, some wearers have the opposite experience, finding they need to reapply multiple times a day because they "rarely find hints of the scent" after a few hours. Skin chemistry is clearly a major factor. Three sprays on pulse points is a solid starting point, with clothing application recommended for insurance.
Fans appreciate the reliability. "Clean, well-rounded, and easy to wear -- not a must have, but a nice have" captures the moderate enthusiasm that defines much of the praise. Those who love it tend to love it deeply -- one wearer shared wearing it for almost four years with their affection never fading. The performance earns particular respect for a designer fragrance at this price point. Critics find it unremarkable. "It falls into that category of fragrances that are so plain they do not have the character to be bad," wrote one reviewer, calling it "a classic case of nice face, shame about the scent." Others see it as part of the "fresh, clean, floral with soapy touches" trend that dominates women's designer perfumery. An interesting split exists between the EDT and EDP -- a common warning on Basenotes is that you can "strongly like an EDT and strongly dislike an EDP" since they have noticeably different characters, with the EDP being sharper and more woody.
Eros Pour Femme is a solid choice for someone who wants a reliable, well-performing warm-weather fragrance that works seamlessly from office to dinner. It makes a good gift thanks to its broad appeal and recognizable brand name. If you are building a fragrance wardrobe and need a versatile citrus-floral that will not offend anyone, this fills that role capably. Skip it if you want something distinctive or creative, if you are looking for the feminine equivalent of the bold, sweet men's Eros (this is a completely different fragrance), or if you already own several fresh designer florals and do not need another. Try both the EDT and EDP before committing -- they are different enough that preference for one does not guarantee appreciation of the other.
Eros Pour Femme is the dependable workhorse of the Versace women's lineup. It does nothing wrong, performs better than most of its competition, and will serve you well for years without a single complaint. But "does nothing wrong" is also its ceiling. In a crowded designer market where every brand has a fresh citrus-floral option, Eros Pour Femme needed to bring more personality to the table to truly justify its name. What it lacks in character, it makes up for in sheer reliability -- and for many wearers, that trade-off is perfectly acceptable.
