Kioku Scent was created to cut through the noise in the fragrance world. With thousands of perfumes on the market, finding the right one can feel overwhelming. We aggregate real opinions from fragrance communities, process them with AI, and present clear, honest consensus reviews so you can make confident choices.

Our goal is to be the most trustworthy and accessible perfume resource on the web — combining the depth of enthusiast forums with the clarity of expert curation.

How Our Reviews Work

Unlike traditional review sites that rely on individual opinions, our reviews represent the consensus of hundreds of real fragrance enthusiasts. Here is how the process works:

1. Community sourcing — We collect discussions from Reddit's r/fragrance, Basenotes, and other fragrance forums where real people share honest opinions.
2. AI aggregation — Our AI pipeline analyzes hundreds of posts per perfume, identifying common praises, complaints, occasions, and seasonal recommendations.
3. Consensus review — The aggregated data is synthesized into a structured review that reflects what the community actually thinks — not just one person's nose.
4. Confidence scoring — Each review includes a confidence indicator. Reviews based on fewer than five independent sources are flagged for additional verification.

Rankings are computed from a combination of community ratings, vote counts, appreciation scores, and category-specific data such as longevity votes for "best long-lasting" or season votes for "best summer perfume."
