dsm-firmenich, Akro7 creations

Olivier Cresp (born 1955) is a French perfumer who has worked at dsm-firmenich since 1992, where he was elevated to the rank of Master Perfumer in 2006. Born in Grasse, France, the historic capital of the perfume industry, Cresp comes from a family with deep roots in the trade: both his father and grandfather traded in the raw materials used in making perfume, and his sister is fellow perfumer Francoise Caron. He began his career as a perfumer in 1975, bringing over two decades of independent experience before joining Firmenich, now dsm-firmenich. He is also associated with the fragrance brand Akro.

Cresp's notable creations span a wide range of brands and fragrance styles, including Eau Paco Rabanne, L'Eau D'Issey Absolue, Paco Rabanne Pour Elle, and Femme de Lacoste. Perfumery runs through the Cresp family across multiple generations: Olivier lives in Paris, and his son Sebastien has followed him into the profession, also working as a perfumer.
