Giorgio Armani

Italian designer Giorgio Armani earned particular recognition for his contributions to menswear. His path in fashion began with window display design at a department store, eventually advancing to the role of menswear buyer. Between 1960 and 1972, he designed for the prestigious house of Nino Cerutti, then freelanced for several fashion labels before launching his own brand. His debut men's collection arrived in 1975, accompanied by a women's line that same year. Armani reached a broader audience through the film American Gigolo, where Richard Gere's character wore the designer's sleek creations, marking the beginning of numerous Hollywood collaborations to come.
