Henry Creed Third Generation

12 creations

Henry Creed, the third generation of the House of Creed, was born in 1824 and came of age as the family business transitioned from a prestigious London tailoring establishment into a pan-European fragrance powerhouse. At the invitation of French Empress Eugénie, wife of Napoleon III, he relocated the house's headquarters to Paris in 1854, establishing the boutique at 25 rue de la Paix and bringing the Creed name to the very center of French haute couture. He maintained a secondary residence in Nice, just 25 kilometers from Grasse, then emerging as the heart of France's fragrance industry.

During his tenure, Henry Creed earned special appointment to Queen Victoria and principal courts across Europe, creating bespoke scents for royalty alongside the bespoke tailoring the house was known for. Among the fragrances attributed to his era are Selection Verte and Fleur de The Rose Bulgare, commissioned by Queen Victoria, as well as Jasmine Imperatrice Eugénie, crafted for the French Empress and still available today.
