Philippine Courtière
Philippine Courtière was born into the world of French luxury — her grandfather Jacques Rouët co-founded Dior, and her parents built careers at Givenchy — yet she initially pursued law, earning a master's degree from Nanterre University. Her direction changed after an internship in a perfume shop, which led her to pursue fragrance training at the Firmenich Perfumery School in 2009.
Mentored by Francis Kurkdjian, Michel Almairac, and Jacques Cavallier, she trained across Geneva, New York, and Paris before being appointed perfumer in 2014 and relocating to Dubai to specialize in oriental fragrance creation. She joined Symrise as a Senior Perfumer in 2021, with credits for Annick Goutal, Atkinsons, and Kayali Fragrances.
