Jean Claude Delville

Jean-Claude Delville is a Paris-born perfumer who began his career in the mid-1970s after entering the industry at the age of 17. Over a career spanning more than four decades, he has worked for Quest, Créations Aromatiques, IFF, Firmenich, Symrise, and Drom, holding the position of Vice President and Senior Perfumer of Fine Fragrances at Symrise.

Delville is responsible for some of the most recognized fragrances of his era, including Grès Cabotine and Clinique Happy, which was inducted into the Fragrance Foundation Hall of Fame in 2014. He has created fragrances for Givenchy, Kenzo, Marc Jacobs, Jo Malone, and Vera Wang. In 2017 he co-founded The Society of Scent, a digital platform dedicated to scent culture.
