Jacques Flori began his career at the Robertet Group in 1973 as a perfumer's assistant, working his way up to become a Senior Perfumer at the storied Grasse-based house. Before entering the fragrance world he had studied medicine for several years; it was under the mentorship of Robertet's Jean Mober that he found his true vocation.
Over a career spanning more than five decades he has become especially celebrated for his mastery of incense and complex resinous compositions, creating fragrances for Amouage, Xerjoff, Parfums de Marly, Etro, Jovoy Paris, and Reminiscence. Notable works include Amouage Library Collection Opus IV, Xerjoff Bouquet Ideale, and Pierre Balmain Ivoire.
