Guillaume Flavigny
Guillaume Flavigny is a French perfumer at Givaudan Paris whose passion for fragrance began in childhood collecting scented objects from parks. He pursued chemistry studies before enrolling at ISIPCA in Versailles and then completed his training at the Givaudan School of Perfumery, joining the creation team in Paris in 2003. In 2002 he was awarded the Prix International du Jeune Parfumeur Créateur.
Flavigny's work is shaped by his love of music — he is an accomplished jazz pianist and draws on musical concepts of harmony and counterpoint when composing fragrances. His notable creations include Comme des Garçons Black and Balmain Ambre Gris, and he has collaborated with Valentino, Sisley, Rochas, and Montblanc.
