Domitille Michalon Bertier

Domitille Michalon-Bertier is a French perfumer who obtained a degree in chemistry before training at ISIPCA in Versailles from 1992 to 1994. She joined IFF as a trainee in 1994, was promoted to Senior Perfumer in 2007, and after more than 26 years at the company became head of IFF's perfumers in February 2021. Her earliest olfactory inspirations trace back to childhood experiences in Vanuatu.

Michalon-Bertier has created some of the most commercially successful fragrances of the 21st century. Her signature creations include Viktor & Rolf Flowerbomb, Van Cleef & Arpels Midnight in Paris, and Marc Jacobs Perfect. In 2025, she received recognition from The Fragrance Foundation.
