Daniela Andrier was born in 1964 in Heidelberg and studied philosophy at the Sorbonne before turning to perfumery. She began with an internship at Chanel in 1988 and the following year entered the Roure Perfumery School in Grasse — now part of Givaudan. Early in her career she was based in New York, creating Calvin Klein Contradiction, Emporio Armani She, and Gucci Rush for Men.
She has since become one of the most accomplished perfumers at Givaudan, producing Prada Infusion d'Iris, Maison Margiela Untitled, Tiffany Eau de Parfum, and YSL MYSLF. In 2025 she received the Lifetime Achievement Perfumer Award from The Fragrance Foundation USA.
