Benoist Lapouza

Benoist Lapouza is a French perfumer who began his working life as a trained cellist before his passion for fragrance drew him to a new vocation. He was mentored by Pierre Bourdon and launched his career at Takasago in 1986. He subsequently moved to Quest International in 1991, then to Fragrance Resources in 1993, where he eventually became creation director, and joined the Parisian fine fragrance house Drom in 2014.

Among his notable creations are Live Jazz for Yves Saint Laurent, Dolly Girl by Anna Sui, Si Lolita for Lolita Lempicka, Fan di Fendi pour Homme, and Acquarossa by Fendi.
